Simulis and Gen21 Integrate Competency Assessment Technology

LOS ANGELES--Feb. 24, 2006--Simulis LLC and Generation21 are collaborating to meld Simulis’s complex simulation-driven assessments with Gen21’s value-driven e-learning management environment.

This combined capability will allow simulation and other rich interactive training to report far more data about user decisions and actions in an online competency test, the companies announced. Results from these tests will allow statistical analysis of workforce readiness and the potential for human error in critical tasks.

Applications for this technology include assessments of user skills and reasoning, operation of simulated equipment and complex technical processes. Such tests are being used today by large organizations in healthcare such as Kaiser Permanente and Schlumberger in oil field services.

Simulis also develops the assessment software applications and courseware that can employ the data interface to Gen21 for these requirements.
