Training for Child Care Professionals

AUSTIN , Tex. —March 10, 2006—The National Association of Child Care Professionals has launched an online professional education center. Through a joint endeavor between NACCP, Advanced Systems Technology and Empowered Training Centre, more than 2000 courses are available in the areas of child development, human capital management, empowered training, desktop computer skills and business management.

“Everyone wants training in their backyard, when it is convenient for them, and now it is,” said NACCP executive director Sherry Workman in an announcement. “Child care leaders can have set training costs without unrelated expenses and have the most highly qualified staff in the community.”

More than 2500 hours of training are available. Each subscriber has unlimited access to courses through an annual subscription, the organization said. Upon course completion, certificates are available that indicate training hours and Continuing Education Units.
