Learn.com Releases Mentor for Office 2003

SUNRISE, Fla.—March 25, 2006—Learn.com has announced the release of Mentor for Microsoft Office 2003. Mentor uses short, workflow-embedded multimedia presentations and demonstrations, accessed by a single click from Word, Outlook, Excel, or PowerPoint, the company said in an announcement.

“A Microsoft Office upgrade is a big investment, but you can't get a return on any technology investment until your people know how to use it,” said Dave Swenson, executive director for product development at Learn.com. “ Mentor makes sure your users aren't slowed down by the interface changes, and it helps them start using the enhanced functionality quickly.”
When a user needs to see how to perform a task, that knowledge is available by clicking the Mentor icon from within the application, the company said. This action opens a keyword-searchable HTML container structured like Microsoft’s Help function. Users see and hear 60- to 90-second demonstrations and can then perform the same steps.

Mentor for Office 2003 can reside on network servers or on the hard drive of workstations and laptops, the company said.
