Cisco Announces Specialist Certifications

SAN JOSE , Calif.--April 4, 2006--Cisco Systems has announced the addition of 12 specialist certifications to align with its recently enhanced channel partner program specializations.

The new certifications match job-role requirements within specializations for Cisco's channel partner employees, and target technical professionals involved with the design, implementation and support of integrated Cisco networks, according to a company announcement.

The new specialist certifications include the following:

• Advanced Wireless LAN Design Specialist
• Advanced Wireless LAN Field Specialist
• Advanced Wireless LAN Sales Specialist
• Security Solutions and Design Specialist
• Advanced Security Field Specialist
• Security Sales Specialist
• Routing and Switching Solutions Specialist
• Routing and Switching Field Specialist
• Routing and Switching Sales Specialist
• Foundation Design Specialist
• Foundation Field Specialist
• Foundation Sales Specialist
