Cal Poly Continuing Ed to Offer New Courses

SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA—April 13, 2006--Cal Poly Continuing Education said it has partnered with The e-Learning Center to offer thousands of courses from some of the world’s top online providers.

The e-Learning Center is a location students can visit to access online training options—from mandatory professional continuing education to career programs. Pricing for the courses is $25 to $1,000, depending on the lesson intensity, certification offering and instructor support required.

Created by Gatlin Education Services, a provider of online workforce development programs for colleges and universities, the e-Learning Center contains courses from such education content providers as Thomson Education Direct, Element K, GlobalEnglish, CEU4U and Coastal Training Technologies. As subsequent phases of the portal are released, additional content providers will be added, offering more than 25,000 online education courses by the end of 2006, the company said.
