REDWOOD SHORES, Calif.—May 1, 2006—Los Angeles County has selected the Saba Learning Suite to expand its training and development programs to an estimated 91,000 county employees, according to a Saba announcement.

The deployment is part of an initiative to address the county’s strategic plan for workforce excellence. The effort is focused on increasing the performance and productivity of employees by improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of its training programs.

According to the announcement, thesolution will replace  existing manual processes with online registration and workflow. It will also enable training professionals to better track and manage employee certifications and accreditations and help the county remain in compliance with mandated certification requirements. Eliminating duplicate learning systems and deploying a single countywide learning platform will also reduce the county’s implementation and maintenance costs, according to the company.
