Math Computation-Based Podcast Debuts

WATERLOO, Ontario—May 4, 2006—Maplesoft is offering a podcast series titled MapleCasts, according to the company. Featuring insight and commentary from industry experts, each podcast averages 20 minutes and is produced and hosted every two weeks by Maplesoft veteran, Tom Lee. The program follows a variety show format and is said to introduce a human-interest component into a math computation-based podcast.

The first episode, “In the Beginning,” features an interview with Keith Geddes, a pioneer in mathematical computation and the inventor of the Maple system, as well as company and industry news coverage plus a product segment with Maple expert, Eithne Murray. The episode is available for download at www.maplesoft.com/community/podcast/.
