Bridge360 Intros Internationalization Courseware
AUSTIN, Tex.—May 4, 2006—Bridge360
is attempting to address the need for software designed for international
markets with Virgil, a globalization methodology course. According
to a company announcement, the course teaches the principles and hands-on
tactics for creating international software in-house.
According to PricewaterhouseCoopers’ 9th
Annual CEO Survey, 78% of chief executives said their companies are
going global to find new customers, the announcement said.
Virgil is divided into three curriculums. In the Delivering Global Software
portion, program, project, and product managers learn how to manage the
development of world-ready software and how to overcome challenges surrounding
the process. In the Developing Global Software portion, software engineers,
developers, programmers, architects, and lead technical personnel can
learn how to write software that runs in international environments.
And in the Testing Global Software portion, quality assurance professionals
can learn the fundamentals of testing software in international environments,
including platform selections, international test techniques, and test
plans.
Virgil is intended for classroom distribution. However, the company
said students would soon have access to Virgil via the Internet with
ongoing updates and support.
