Rule-Driven Business Management Engine Updated

BURLINGTON, Mass.—May 16, 2006—A new version of the G2 ReThink product for rule-driven business process management is now available from Gensym Corp.

Reportedly combining time-sensitive business rules, process modeling, simulation, and online deployment features, G2 ReThink is intended to enable users and analysts to anticipate and respond to such issues as business bottlenecks, fluctuating demands, availability of resources, rapid changes in business conditions, and new ways of doing business. According to a company announcement, Version 5.0 includes improved real-time rules execution; enhanced resource modeling; a redesigned user interface; new 2D and 3D charting options; a potential  80% reduction in simulation times; and expanded support for messaging (via the Java Messaging Services standard) and for email notifications.

According to the company, it has been teaming with the U.S. Army’s Center for Logistics Innovation to facilitate changes in Army logistics processes using G2 ReThink.
