Donation Supports NGO Leadership Development

SAN FRANCISCO—May 22, 2006—Ninth House Inc. has donated its Leadership Development Solutions Suite and just-in-time learning series, Instant Advice, to Learning for International Non-Governmental Organizations (LINGOs). The donation is intended to support LINGOs’ efforts to cultivate leaders at international NGOs that quickly respond to and provide humanitarian relief to emergencies in more than 60 countries.

According to the announcement, international NGOs are experiencing significant growth to provide humanitarian assistance to more than 750 million people worldwide. Member organizations employing thousands of employees are facing the imminent retirement of senior staff in the next five years.

The Leadership Development Solutions Suite reportedly combines content business experts, interactive simulations, and online learning. Used as a reinforcement tool with Ninth House’s courses, Instant Advice provides more than 450 Web-based videos intended to offer solutions to various business challenges, according to the announcement.
