Ford and GP Receive Award for Blended Learning Solutions

ELKRIDGE, Md.—May 24, 2006—General Physics Corp., a provider of training and e-learning solutions, management consulting, and engineering services, has announced that the American Society for Training and Development presented an “Excellence in Practice” award to Ford Motor Co. and General Physics for the blended learning solution supporting Ford’s Consumer Driven Six-Sigma Green Belt program.

The ASTD awards program is intended to recognize outstanding contributions and achievements in advancing learning and performance in the workplace, the announcement said. General Physics personnel worked with Ford to convert a five-day program into a blended solution that reportedly reduced time in training and accelerated the program rollout. The blended program was previously recognized with an Award of Excellence from the International Society for Performance Improvement.
