Podcast Features Interviews with Management Thinkers

BOSTON—June 1, 2006—Harvard Business School Publishing (HBSP), a publisher of management content, has launched the HBR IdeaCast, a free, biweekly podcast providing management ideas and commentary from HBSP authors and editors.

Hosted by Paul Michelman, executive editor in HBSP’s new publishing ventures group, the IdeaCasts are intended to bring timely business topics to managers. According to a recent announcement, each IdeaCast is approximately 20 minutes in length and is usually composed of two segments. The ideas covered in the podcasts are reportedly inspired by Harvard Business Review articles, HBS Press books, and HBSP conferences and newsletters.

“Podcasts have quickly become yet another way people want to receive information,” said Michelman. “We hope the HBR IdeaCast will not only serve the needs of our current readers and customers, but also will help introduce the ideas and content we publish to a new generation of managers worldwide.”

According to the announcement, previous IdeaCasts have included such segments as how to live in to your new promotion, how to manage the alpha male, and harnessing the strategic power of trust. Upcoming IdeaCasts will include a discussion with loyalty guru, Fred Reichheld, about his book, The Ultimate Question.
