Whitepaper Details Strategies for Increasing Employee Retention

CHARLOTTE, N.C.—June 14, 2006—The Impact of Human Resources on Employee Retention whitepaper, available from HRAmerica, addresses the issue of recruiting in an increasingly competitive marketplace and provides actionable steps and strategies for increasing employee retention.

“As HR business processes increase in number and [complexity], HR professionals often struggle to determine which tasks are most important,” said HRAmerica board member, Stephen Boyd, in a company announcement. “They need to attain a high-level view so they can focus on improving their firm by retaining and hiring top talent. Outsourcing is often the key to more effective management.”

According to the announcement, companies can retain top talent by placing increasing value on the strategic contributions of HR to their firm, and by outsourcing services that are not core competencies and that distract from the primary goal of hiring and retaining top talent.

However, the announcement stated that many companies do not have the time or talent to devote to these strategies, and that more than 74% of companies rely on an HR services provider to manage technical tasks, which allows professionals to again focus on the most important elements of HR.

In addition to discussing these issues, the whitepaper reportedly highlights HR components that can increase retention—among them talent management, employment brand development, and corporate communications—and discusses the benefits of a partnership with an HR services provider.
