Government Renews Contract for Learning Platform

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa—June 19, 2006—GeoLearning Inc. has announced that the GoLearn/U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has renewed its contract for the GeoMaestro-hosted learning management system (LMS) platform. The contract renewal reportedly marks the fifth year GeoLearning has been serving the e-training needs of federal agencies through the OPM/GoLearn program.

According to the announcement, GoLearn/OPM will upgrade its current government-wide LMS template to the GeoMaestro 4.6 platform. This reportedly will enable the OPM to provision small and medium-size government agencies with their own systems, including agency-specific functionality and branding.

The announcement added that the OPM will reclaim its original online learning center URL as the federal government’s employee e-training site and initially will migrate 200,000 users from www.USALearning.gov to www.GoLearn.gov, to maintain student history, learning continuity, and consistency.
