Accenture to Open Texas Delivery Center
SAN ANTONIO, Tex.—June 27, 2006—Accenture has announced it is opening a delivery center here to provide business process outsourcing services, including human resources, procurement, finance and accounting, corporate learning support, and industry-specific services, to clients worldwide.
As reported in the announcement, Accenture selected San Antonio because of the city’s business environment and talent pool. The center reportedly will employ 350 people, bringing the number of Accenture employees in Texas to nearly 3,500. The company currently has offices in Dallas, Austin, and Houston.
The San Antonio employees will be part of the company’s Global Delivery Network, which provides services in systems integration and infrastructure, application, and business process outsourcing, according to the announcement.
