Business Process Documentation Tools Announced

TULSA, Okla.—June 28, 2006—Strategies and Associates has announced a set of documentation templates with job aids intended to help clients consistently document their key business processes and improve performance.

According to the announcement, the company developed its Process Mapping Tools while working with clients in the utilities and petroleum industries, but the product has evolved to include a Microsoft Visio process map template and a Microsoft Word narrative template with full macro capabilities. Each template reportedly comes with detailed instructions and can be customized with the client’s logo.

Government regulations increasingly require organizations to visually map their core business processes, the announcement stated. Toward that end, the templates are intended to provide clients with increased consistency in documentation formatting, a reduction in the number of content errors, and improved turnaround time for completing documentation projects. In addition, they reportedly can be used in training documents and as starting points for performance improvement projects.
