Ontario Replaces Highway Design System with Transportation Design Software

EXTON, Pa.—July 13, 2006—Bentley Systems has announced that the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) has selected InRoads as its transportation design software. In addition, MTO has joined Bentley’s enterprise training subscription program, which entitles the ministry to professional training by Bentley Institute.

According to the announcement, MTO selected InRoads through a competitive bidding process that analyzed systems to ensure the best match to MTO’s technical requirements. InRoads will replace MTO’s existing highway design system.

The contract reportedly includes software, implementation and customization services, and training. An implementation plan and seminars will prepare consultants that provide engineering services to MTO; implementation is expected to be completed by October 2006, the announcement stated.
