Russian Firms Participate in Talent Management Initiatives

WASHINGTON, D.C.—July 21, 2006—The Human Capital Institute (HCI) has announced that it launched a series of educational presentations and networking opportunities for executives in Russia seeking to better leverage human capital.

According to the announcement, during the month of June HCI’s David Forman conducted a seminar and three different courses in Russia: the “Integrated Talent Management” seminar, for the Moscow-based executives of global consultancy Deloitte & Touche; HCI’s signature course, “The Principles of Human Capital Management,” for participants from a variety of Russian companies and organizations; and the courses “Driving a Talent Mindset Throughout the Enterprise” and “Talent Metrics,” for employees from various divisions of Basic Element, a multibillion-dollar Russian company concentrated in a variety of industries.

In addition, a board meeting reportedly was held in Moscow to help Terry Stockham launch HCI in Russia. Stockham, an international consultant at Runzheimer Int’l., is partnering with HCI and will oversee future programs and initiatives in Russia, the announcement stated.

Said Allan Schweyer, HCI’s president and executive director, in the announcement: “Russia’s deep wealth of scientific and technical talent has significant implications for the global economy.”

Separately, HCI announced that Batrus Hollweg Int’l. (BHI), a human capital consulting firm specializing in Talent Gauging, will support HCI initiatives as a global underwriter. Together, the companies reportedly will sponsor a two-part symposium series for select BHI clients and staff members, which will feature a customized version of HCI’s Human Capital Management Principles course. In addition, HCI will promote BHI’s services to its own members and affiliates as a way to improve and manage talent.
