Home Healthcare Product/Service Provider Uses LCMS to Train Employees

NASHUA, N.H.—July 25, 2006—According to a recent announcement, Apria Healthcare has purchased Eedo Knowledgeware’s Learning Content Management System, ForceTen, to deliver learning and training to its 10,000 employees.

“Healthcare product and service providers have some of the most difficult training challenges of all industries,” said Josh Bersin, chief executive of research firm, Bersin & Associates. “Rapid changes in technology, continuous advances in medical science, and the need for strict regulatory compliance create a need for rapid development, dynamic delivery, and detailed tracking.”

According to the announcement, the training group at Apria Healthcare provides training for all of its employees, including those requiring certification courses. The training materials it is creating using ForceTen comprise Web-based learning modules intended for use by management, nurse clinicians, technicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, customer service employees, reimbursement employees, and logistics and administrative personnel.
