Tools Aim to Help Improve Employee Retention and Reduce Turnover
AMHERST, N.Y.—July 26, 2006—EmployeeRetention.com has announced the Employee Retention Assessment tool and the Cultural Fit System, both of which are intended to help companies reduce employee turnover by assessing turnover risk and helping them to determine which employees will stay.
Created by Joel Goldberg, Ph.D., who reportedly began researching the subject of employee retention at Harvard University in the 1980s, the tools are intended to explore the direct and indirect causes of employee turnover.
According to the announcement, the tool is intended to measure risk for turnover, and directs action once areas of concern are identified. The Cultural Fit System reportedly assesses the working culture of an organization and identifies specific, highly valued working criteria of individual employees. It incorporates an Organizational Culture Survey that measures the rules of conduct that govern organizational behavior; as well as an Employee Values and Criteria Survey that identifies and measures the working values of employees and their criteria for a satisfying work environment.
