Competency Management Leader Christine Hipple Joins Avilar
COLUMBIA, Md.—July, 25, 2006—According to a recent announcement, Avilar has added HR veteran Christine Hipple to its list of consultants. As director for workforce development solutions, Hipple reportedly will consult with the users of Avilar’s competency management product, iSkills, as well as lead participants in Avilar’s iSkills Consortium.
According to the announcement, before moving to Avilar, Hipple was director of leadership and professional development at Magellan Health Services, where she developed a mentor program that paired seasoned staff with those interested in advancing their career. While at University Physicians at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, she reportedly launched a centralized learning program and a skill certification process, developed a competency-based pay-for-performance program, and initiated a “float pool” of internal temporary workers that cut costs and turnover rates. Working with the office of the Sergeant at Arms and a number of U.S. Senate offices, she reportedly was instrumental in developing and piloting a competency-based talent selection process.
